The MOAA Foundation (TMF)

TMF creates, enhances, expands, and supports high-impact, proven-successful programs and services that enable the nation's uniformed service members and veterans of all ranks and their families to maintain a quality of life reflective of their selfless service to America. The foundation funds these programs and services through philanthropic contributions from the American people, corporations, MOAA members along with Councils and Chapters, those who seek to assist members of the military community, and additional organizations that support our mission. Your donation will go to the greatest need to include COVID-19 assistance and emergency relief, among the other programs the foundation currently supports.

By TMF Board direction, TMF grants support to programs and services focusing on four categories of critical military and veteran family need aligning with particular MOAA expertise:

  1. Career Transition
  2. Community Outreach Grants
  3. Crisis Relief
  4. Professional Education Outreach
  5. Spouse Professional Development

“When I called MOAA, they called me back within 40 minutes. Maybe 2 or 3 days later I got the check in the mail. It was fast! All together it was about 2 weeks to receive assistance. That was the fastest assistance I received. From what I have experienced so far, MOAA is there for the veteran and responds quickly. Veterans have somewhere they can call to receive help.”

-Donald Callands, COVID-19 Grant Recipient

“I am a lifetime member of MOAA and reaching out for help is something I advocate to others. In joining MOAA, they offer many resources to military retirees and military active duty. When I reached out to MOAA and asked them if they could help me with a butterfly garden…. To support to help me build butterfly gardens in front of my house so that every day when I go to get the mail I can see the butterflies”
